21 JANUARY
Brett Whiteley Studio 2 Raper St, Surry Hills NSW 2010
Melbourne jazz singer Alma Zygier has a voice from another era, of speakeasies, flappers and phonographs. Her innate talent makes sense considering her lineage – her parents are Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier – but Alma brings a touch of grime and grit to her vocals and original songwriting.
In the Brett Whiteley Studio Session, she performs a response to the work of one of Sydney’s most iconic visual artists and the opening of new exhibition Eternity Is Now.
