The Darlo Supper Club will be a den of delight in the heart of Sydney Festival.
Cabaret's rare jewel and your host for the evening, Andrew Bukenya, will invite you into Darlo’s intimate underground space to join in a night of frivolity, glamour and delight. Joining you in our piano bar will be the cream of Sydney’s music scene including legends of cabaret, classical, jazz and musical theatre.
With a different guest every night, Darlo Supper Club is the place to be to sip champagne, devour delicious delicacies and be delighted by Andrew and his guests.

Tuesday 24 January – 7:30pm: Dreambox Collective
Three Dreambox Collective artists – Chloe Chung, Jolin Jiang and Liz Cheung – present intimate and rich works from their latest collaboration “Home”, for Darlo Supper Club. Dreambox Collective is a Sydney-based musician and artist collective passionate about understanding how we can live on this changing planet together; producing works and facilitating performances to create meaningful connections for positive social impact.
Wednesday 25 January – 7:30pm: Boy & Bucket
All-trans indie folk band creating space for sharing the complexities of life and the joys of friendship. They express fundamental queer truths in a universally accessible and relatable way. From communal grieving and despair, to the elation of love and connection, they have a catchy anthem for any experience no matter how big or small. The band features “Boy” (Malaika Mfalme) on vocals and guitar, “and” (Billie Vanson) on drums, and “Bucket” (Bubblegum Bucket) on vocals and trumpet.

Friday 27 January – 7:30pm: Nick Russionello
Highly accomplished and dynamic saxophonist, composer, ensemble leader and educator. Nick has appeared as a soloist or guest musician with many of Australia’s premier arts organisations including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Australian World Orchestra, the Australian Opera & Ballet Orchestra, Ensemble Offspring, Metropolitan Orchestra and the Acacia Quartet. He has been the recipient of major awards including the ABC Symphony Australian Young Performer of the Year Award and the Fine Music Kruger Scholarship.
Saturday 28 January 6pm and 8:30pm: Umberto Clerici
With a career spanning more than 20 years as a gifted cello soloist, orchestral musician and now conductor, Umberto Clerici has gained a reputation as an artist of diverse and multifaceted talents. After years of performing on the stages of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, Umberto took up the position as Principal cello of the Teatro Regio di Torino following which he was Principal Cello of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra from 2014 to 2021. Umberto has been appointed Chief Conductor of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra commencing from February 2023.
Sunday 29 January – 6pm: Zela Margossian
Zela Margossian is an Australian pianist, composer and recording artist of Armenian heritage. Born in Beirut, she is currently based in Sydney. She is the founder of the Zela Margossian Quintet which was nominated for an ARIA Award upon the release of her first album, Transition, in November 2018. In 2022, Zela Margossian Quintet were signed on the American label, Ropeadope, who released Margossian’s second album, The Road, in February 2022. Both albums have received positive reviews nationally and internationally, such as Downbeat (US) and Jazzwise (UK) magazines. Zela Margossian’s music is a combination of her influences from Armenian traditional music, classical and the improvisational attitude of contemporary jazz.
