Sydney Festival is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced design agencies for an exciting opportunity to shape the Festival’s visual brand identity from 2026 to 2029.
Sydney Festival is one of Australia’s leading cultural celebrations, presenting daring and inspiring arts experiences across Sydney every January.
Design is at the heart of what we do – it gives us the language to connect audiences with artists’ bold ideas and the festival experience we offer Sydney each year. As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2026, we are embracing new stories across the city, making this a pivotal moment to reimagine our visual identity.
We are looking for a visionary design agency to collaborate with us in developing a refreshed brand identity that reflects our evolving artistic vision while maintaining our reputation as a leading cultural event in Australia.
The project scope includes:
- Creating a distinctive visual brand identity aligned with Sydney Festival’s values and artistic direction
- Designing a flexible and cohesive framework for our annual Festival campaigns across multiple platforms
- Executing a corporate identity (with a preference to retain our current logo) while evolving campaign imagery and assets each year
We invite agencies with a strong track record in branding, particularly within the arts and cultural sector, to submit an EOI.
