What better way to sink into the subterranean vibes of The Weary Traveller than with the slinky, sonic shadowplay of cult legends HTRK? 

Known for its shape-shifting sensuality and spectral sound, the beloved Melbourne duo of Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang has been stunning audiences for nearly two decades, transforming from skeletal noise to brooding, seductive soundscapes.

Standish and Yang's journey has seen them scoring films, collaborating with the likes of the late Rowland S. Howard and artist Laure Prouvost, and releasing a string of critically-acclaimed records, including 2014’s classic Psychic 9-5 Club – named among the best albums of the decade – 2019’s richly melancholy Venus in Leo, and their latest, 2021’s Rhinestones, described as “lyrical, atmospheric, and, most of all, masterfully executed” (Dazed) and “a revelatory act of disclosure” (NME).

With quiet storms of tension, texture and transcendence, HTRK is the perfect band to soundtrack the uncanny haunts of this year’s Festival. They're supported by Sydney-based folk duo Warm Currency's simmering intensity and simplicity.
