Descend the hidden staircase. Close the door. Sit yourself in solitude inside the safe of an art deco hotel.
It’s just you, your thoughts and the voice and music of Alabaster DePlume.
A poet, performer, sidemouth saxophonist and method music-maker, Alabaster has prepared a piece in isolation, for you to experience, in your own isolation. Poetry and soundscapes that no one else will ever hear.
The warmth of his voice, of his intentions, washes over you, as you sit in the cosy armchair below street level; a moment of stillness beneath the hectic pace above.
What binds you to this voice in the dark? What are we to each other? What can bridge the distances between us?
Now, here, in chamber, where no one is looking, no one is listening, you’re just one.
Capacity for this work is limited to one person per session.
