What do Men at Work, Elvis and Britney Spears have in common? The answer lies in the angelic voice of singer/songwriter Tom Snowdon, who in 2019 released a striking collection of ballads that delicately reimagined some of contemporary pop’s most recognisable hits.
Titled Channel, the breakout EP of cover songs was Snowdon’s first statement as a solo artist, following years of working collaboratively with Tom Lansek as No Mono and EDM heavyweights upsidedownhead and Willaris K.
In November this year, the Melbourne-via-Alice Springs musician releases his first original solo work, Flood at the Heart. With his fragile vocals warped and stretched across dramatic yet delicate productions, Snowdon sounds like Australia’s answer to ANOHNI.
With the bouncy bedroom pop of Ivy-Jane Browne on support duties, come and witness an otherworldly talent as he explores the unseen emotional world within us all, deep within the bowels of Martin Place’s iconic Seidler mushroom building.
